About Us

We are a self-organized symphony orchestra that consists of musically-inclined Alphabet employees, interns, extended workforce, and related associates.

The Googler Orchestra was founded in the summer of 2016 by a group of passionate Google employees who wanted to bring musical colleagues together to form a symphony orchestra at work. Our first concert was held in a tech talk room with just a little over 30 musicians. Over the years, we grew into a full symphonic orchestra operation, playing orchestral works of all genres at some of the company's biggest internal venues.

When the shelter-in-place orders began in 2020, we went virtual, amassing hundreds of Googler Orchestra members from (home) offices around the world to produce music together online. These virtual orchestra videos can be watched on our YouTube channel.

Now that the world is slowly opening back up, we're excited to find ways to (safely) begin making music together in person again!
